Junior Performance Coaching
The world of junior golf can be confusing and intimidating. To play at the highest level and be recognized for scholarship opportunities you need solid swing and short game fundamentals, but you also need a coach to guide you and assist you with the following:
- Knowledge of ball flight laws with the understanding of how to create different flights
- Club fitting and yardage charts for all clubs (exact carry distances)
- Practice drills and tests to track improvement in long game and short game skills
- Tournament planning for the best opportunities to improve junior rankings and exposure
- Strategy and course management including:
- Tee shots – where and when to hit Driver
- Approach shots – picking targets based on shot pattern and pin placement
- Mental discipline and managing expectations
- Eliminating big numbers worse than bogey
- Weather management including wind and rain
- Scouting a course online pre-tournament
- How to create a valuable yardage book
- Challenging conditions – thick rough, firm conditions, hilly terrain, etc.
- After hours coaching via phone for before/after competitive rounds
